Although the steel ball allows very even application of ink to paper, the ceramic ball of the gel refill delivers results that are more impressive. The gel is also insoluble in water and therefore document-proof. Manufactured in Japan, where writing is an art form, the gel refill has a line width of 0.5 mm to produce a fine, yet clear written image.
